Hi Urs, A belated thank you for the amazing food that you served at our wedding.. Married life is busier than I thought and I'm only getting around to it now. We where blown away with the quality of the food.. Our friends and family are still taking about the food you served, and claim it was the best quality food they have ever eaten!! We were delighted that you where able to mix the courses with western food and Thai food.. The canapés at the start where elegant and delicious, the starters where amazing and for main Sarah had the Lobster and Wagyu beef surf and turf and I had the chicken massiman, both where out of this world... The cheese cake desert was heavenly and the fact you could provide a crepe stall for later when the drunken people rolled off the dancer floor was a treat.. The service was amazing as well which is really important on the day. Your passion and knowledge for food really shone through on the plate.. I hope all is going well in Koh Samui, we are thinking of leaving Oz in the next few months and hopefully we might get to stop into Samui on the way home to say hello.. Thanks again and we looking forward to meeting you and your beautiful family again.. Chef Urs is amazing, both as a chef and as a vendor. We had wanted him for our wedding reception, but since he had been booked up our wedding date a year in advance, we only had him for our welcome dinner - I am just glad we had him at some point during our wedding weekend!
In the months before my wedding, we were in constant communication, and Chef Urs was very responsive and flexible, which is so important, especially when you're planning a destination wedding. When I was in Koh Samui for our tasting, he invited me to his house - I then understood why his name is Chef in the Jungle! It was such a memorable experience. His wife and daughter also joined us and it almost felt like we went to a friend's house for dinner. Over dinner, we got to know him, and he is so friendly and so passionate about food that it is infectious. Even though we had more people than expected at our Welcome Dinner, he prepared more than enough food and all our guests had only the best things to say. The food and his team were wonderful. I just wish I had had more time to eat! I very highly recommend Chef Urs and hope he can bring as much joy to your event as he did to ours! Hope all of you are well! :) Best, Verna |

Chef in the Jungle catered our wedding night in Koh Samui. It was a wonderful evening and all the guests were not only impressed by the high quality of the food but also that service continued given the tropical rainstorm that started up outside the tent. We cannot praise Urs and his team enough for their dedication and professionalism. Not only was the wedding dinner perfect but the Chinese brunch he catered for guests the day after was excellent (considering many of the guests had flown from Hong Kong this is high praise indeed).

Chef Urs was very responsive and accommodating with all our difficult requests, and he always had great ideas and food suggestions to offer. Our guests would not stop complimenting about your delicious food and how beautiful everything looked on the plate. The suckling pig and banana chocolate brownies at the BBQ were everyone’s favorite, and we still talk about it today! First of all thank you again for everything that you arranged for our big day. My friends & family know how much David and I love good food as we have spent many a night hosting close friends for BBQ’s and dinner parties at our place. Many people on the night commented how much this food was reflective of our style and how absolutely delicious it all was. To be honest, after being in Turkey for 4 months before the wedding (with limited access to Asian-inspired cuisine), it couldn’t have been more perfect. Every dish was delicious (including the goey camembert) and you really did make your company proud. Right down to your professionalism, the service, ease of dealing with you all and of course your lovely family who assisted in making it all happen!

Chef in the Jungle was absolutely amazing at our wedding! Urs took on the monumental task of catering two nights in a row and the food on both nights was terrific. The first night was Thai food, street fair style, and it was a big hit. Our friends and family loved the Esarn style chicken, the fish in banana leaves and all the curries. Great food, creative presentation and wonderful ambiance. For the wedding reception, the food that was served was delicious, and service was so efficient and timely. The risotto was perfectly cooked, the lamb and fish were delicious. Can't end without a shout out for the burgers for the midnight snacks - to die for! Thank you thank you Urs, for your excellent service, and fabulous staff!

Vinnie Rugolo and I would like to extend great thanks to you for the fantastic work you did at our wedding. From the moment of planning, one of the most important elements of our wedding was giving our guests a good meal. You and the team delivered an impeccable meal. We could not be happier with the food you delivered on our special night and cannot speak more highly of the effort you and the team put in. We have received numerous comments from our guests on how great the food was, from the canapés right through to the dessert, with many saying it was the best meal they’ve ever had at a wedding, even in Australia. The food was absolutely delicious, each dish was presented with such care and precision and the portion sizes were spot on. We love how you incorporated Thai flavours into fine dining western dishes and catered for those with dietary requirements. As my parents also said, what you gave to them at the tasting a year prior to the wedding, is exactly what you delivered on the night and you did so for 60 guests. We also appreciate the time you took to personally go to each table and speak with guests to get feedback on the food. Your staff were very efficient, attentive and always had a smile on their face which is so important. Once again, we thank you so very much for how well you catered our wedding. Thank you for the absolutely fantastic food you served us and our guests on our wedding night! It was truly delicious (I am still dreaming about that fish) and I made the whole "brides don't eat" thing a myth - just couldn't miss out on it! Every dish was perfectly executed and very much enjoyed by everyone. Your staff were also flawless at looking after our guests and making sure everyone was fed, watered andattended to. Just wanted to say a big thank you to you and your team for catering our wedding. When we started planning our wedding with LEP Jeanette mentioned chef in the jungle as potential option for catering our wedding day. Based on sample menus provided via email we started to work on a propsed menu for the wedding ( initially covering canapes, reception dinner and late night snacks). Given our diverse backgrounds (and that of our guests) getting the food balanced to suit all was going to be a challenging task. We arranged to do a food tasting session as part of our pre-wedding catch up that was scheduled in our calender for the friday evening. I have been to a couple of food tasting sessions and I must admit I wasn't really expecting too much, but as soon as we arrived at the address we realised this was going to be different... The food tasting was going to take place at Urs house and it felt more like a dinner party then a mundane food tasting session. Urs and his lovely family welcomed us into their home where we spent the evening discussing what we were looking for in a caterer for our wedding, understanding more about Urs and his cooking experience and his passion for cooking... Every dish that we tried was delicious: a selection of canapes, a couple of starters and a number of main meal options each with a very distinctive flavour. As we were trying to finalise the menu he bought out the desert plater which looked amazing. Even though we had eaten far too much we found the space to finish off the wonderful dessert. We left his place really satisfied with the quality of food we had sampled, relieved that we had finalised the menu and also felt a little more at ease safe in the knowledge that we had someone with so much experience and passion in charge of the catering for our wedding. We also were looking at options to cater our bbq after the wedding and whilst a few proposal came through, none really caught our eye. I asked Jeanette to see if Urs wanted to submit a proposal and provided him with our requirements and we were able to finalise it within a couple of days.. On the actual day Urs and his team did not disappoint.. we were unfortunately too busy to relly enjoy the food but the real verdict came from our guests who all loved it... the midnight snacks were perfect and gave us the energy to continue the party long into the night... Urs and his team were back the next day to cater for the bbq and again this received the thumbs up by all - simple, fresh and tasty food that could be shared amongst family and friends Im sure we will back to Samui at some point in the future and will definitely swing by Urs place for great food and a glass or 2 of wine ! thank you once again and love to the family. We are finally back from our honeymoon, which was great. We really wanted to thank you for the amazing catering that you did for our wedding on the 18th of march 2013 in Koh Samui. All the dishes were delicious. The king prawn was cooked to perfection and the salad was very tasty. The duck was so tender that it melted in the mouth, and the vegetablers were very well cooked and tasty. The dessert was refreshing, and delicious. Everybody agreed on the meal being fabulous. My family still speaks of it now! But I also wanted to thank you for everything that you did for us. All the emails that we exchanged were a lot of work for you, but all this contributed to make our evening magical. Thanks to you and your family for the testing of the diner at your home 2 days before the wedding. Thanks for listening to all the small details about salt and sugar : you did everything as I would hope it to be. Your team of waiters was very professional and the service was just perfect. They were smiling all the time. The head barman made the most delicious cocktails I've ever tried! Everybody enjoyed them a great deal! Especially the Basilicum!!! Definetly a hit! Thus, I can only recommand you and your team with all my hearth to anybody wishing to organise a wedding or another event on Koh Samui. Chef in the Jungla are professionnals and they care about you.
